A Christmas Thought
December is typically a month that event upon activity upon holiday celebration upon deadline. It’s a unique time of the year when life seems to simultaneously slow down and speed up!
When activity reaches its zenith, it’s a great time to intentionally slow down and take stock of life’s blessings. I am SO blessed with life, good health, my wife and family and friends, my work and my church, and the people with whom I work each day!
Add to that the people I’ve met through my work, and the blessings they have been to me! Then, as if that is not enough, I consider that I have been able to help many people, and to hopefully be a blessing to them … the thought leaves me speechless!
So as we celebrate this holiday season, and as we prepare for a new beginning in 2016, let’s all take the time to count our blessings – and to thank the One who blesses us each day!
[One last note – I must comment about the upcoming “new year” – I barely became comfortable with writing “2015”, and soon it will be 2016!]
Wishing each of you a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!
